It’s no news that Senator Dino Melaye, a former federal lawmaker and spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council (PDP PCC) has been accused severally of insulting people however, what is shocking to Nigerians is the new title given to him by the leader of a right and justice advocacy group in the PDP, the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL).
Recall a few days ago Senator D. Melaye issued a stern warning to His Excellency, Barr., Nyesom E. Wike, the executive Governor of Rivers State over claims that, he has been insulting the former Vice President and Presidential Candidates of PDP, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Dino went further to say enough is enough and told Wike to short up and bury his head in shame.
In response to Melaye’s garrulous outburst, the leader of CPDPL, Comrade D. Z. Warmate, said, “Dino lacks the political morality to make any statement on issues like this because of his records.” And further described Melaye as the “Insulter-in-Chief” (I-in-C), a title that has never been heard or given to anyone in Nigeria. He accused him of just using Wike to secure kogi PDP Gov. ticket.
The active Citizen and PDP leader continued, “I can politically disagree with anybody but will not insult anybody. It seems Insulting People has become one of his favourite hubbies. Dino has insulted former president GEJ, OBJ, President-Elect BAT, and many more, you can add yours to the list. He insults everyone and anyone whose interest does not benefit him, so I cannot condescend low to his level in this regard.”
“A person that almost fought a woman on the floor of the most hallowed legislative chamber in Nigeria called her unprintable names like, “Ashawo” et al, and with such character and temperament, he is not fit for any public office.”
“Besides, did gov. Wike insult Alhaji Atiku Abubakar? the answer is no. He has not in any way insulted and will not I believe, but when does speaking the truth amounts to insult? Comrade Warmate questioned.
He said, “the truth about Sen. Dino’s expression of frustration can only be traced to the fact that; Gov. Wike’s Presidential election coordinator in Kogi State, Hon. Tajudeen Yusuf popularly called TeyJay was the same person that retired him from both chambers of the national assembly, (federal house of representative and Senate). This was made worse by the defeat of Alhaji Atiku in the February 25 presidential election.
And also Dino is doing all these eye services to get favour from Atiku and Ayu to enable him to secure the PDP governorship ticket for kogi State. That’s why Dino is insulting Gov. Wike, G5/integrity group, and others, not because, he loves Alhaji Atiku Abubakar so much,” comrade warmate alleges.
So it’s Dino that should bury his head in shame and not Gov. Wike & the G5.
