Sales of Forms: Group Applauds NOS, Director.

Political parties are the major leadership recruitment channels and as the 2023 general election is fast approaching, political parties have begun the process of the four-yearly ritual of choosing their flag bearers.

The ruling party in-waiting as they preferred to be called (major opposition party), the PDP has since the 27 of March 2022, commenced the sales of Forms for State Assemblies, National Assemblies, Governors, and Presidential elections. Friday first of April was slated to be the last day for the sales of forms, but it has been extended by a week and will now end on friday 8 of April.

A PDP watchdog group, the Concerned PDP League (CPDPl) that has been observing the process of the sales of Forms, commended the Directorate of Mobilization and Organization for a progressive hitch-free process.

Speaking with our reporter, the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL) Director, Strategic Mobilization and Organization, Comrade Gbenga Adedamola, applauds the National Organising Secretary and the Director, Directorate of Mobilization and Organization for introducing a fair, well-coordinated, and transparent process.

The former National Secretary, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) said, “There was rumour that the governors of  Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Rivers states, had requested, forms should not be sold to anyone from their states without prior approval from them, but the sales of forms to all and sundry by the directorate, has  dispelled the rumour.”

He further said that “the process for the collection of forms is well organized, smooth and orderly, and I call it a Smart process.”

Comrade Adedamola who is also the National Secretary of Man’O War also commended the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for the proper handling of the security around the premises of the National Secretariat effectively and efficiently during this period and urged him to continue the good work.

However, the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL) Director, Strategic Mobilization and Organization, Comrade Adedamola, warned that “now we are commending them for doing very well but if and when they fall short of excellence and our expectation, I assure you the same Brian, mouth, and pen we use to commend them will be used to condemn them”.
