A very vocal faith-based non-governmental organization, the Ecumenical Youth Association, while giving a rousing commendation to the global preacher, Pastor David Ibiyeomei, vehemently condemned the statements of one Apostle Kassy Chukwu and a singer Iledara Olajuwonlo known as Jaywon, for attacking the Founder and Presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomei, for placing curses on everyone associated with internet fraud popularly called yahoo.
Last week Salvation Ministry had their annual programme tagged “Glory Reign”, and during the programme, the world-renowned Preacher cursed the yahoo boys, saying they will all die. The video went viral.
The President of the Ecumenical Youth Association, Daboikiabo Z. Warmate, called on those attacking Pastor Ibiyeomei to a look at themselves, parents, guardians, so called celebrities and the government.
Reacting to the curse, Apostle Kassy lambasted the man of God, saying his curse will not work. According to Apostle Kassy, none of the curses placed on the internet fraudsters by Pastor David would work. He noted that everywhere is peaceful and no cult clashes are recorded because the boys have something they are engaged in.
“Wetin concern you concern Yahoo people? Are they the problem of Nigeria? He should stop talking like that. That prayer will not work! You cannot curse Yahoo boys. At all! E dey forbids to curse politicians. Why e nor go curse politicians? Because na them dey him a church. Na them dey buy the private jets for them. Na them dey buy the big big motor for them. All the big big motor he is driving, who is buying it for him?” said Apostle Kassy.
And a Nigerian singer, Iledara Olajuwonlo, known as Jaywon, supports apostle Chukwu position. He said the fraudstars should not add rituals to their defrauding business because nobody is safe anymore.
In a swift reaction, while addressing the press, the obviously furious Warmate said, “we are not surprised that there will be a reaction from the kingdom of darkness, knowing fully well that, by the reason of the curse, their kingdom will be depleted further.
It’s only ill-informed and a very crude person that will come up with such assertion that, everywhere is peaceful and no cult clashes are recorded because the boys have something they are engaged in. So the cult clashes that are taking place in some states of Nigeria which I don’t want to mention is what? A brotherly play right! The curse has started working, even if it’s the self-acclaimed Apostle that is involved in it, it will work on him. Women and children have turned to endanger spices because of them. Nobody is safe anymore as confirmed by one of the critics.
Warmate, the President of the Ecumenical Youth Association some scriptures: “Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen;1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world; 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
You know some are called, but some called themselves. The later part of the statement aptly referred to the one that called himself apostle. How does Pastor Ibiyeomie’s placing curse on internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) affect or concern a supposed apostle to have generated such a negative reaction? If Mr. Chukwu is so concerned about bad politicians why not place curses on them rather than seeking cheap popularity by attacking pastor David? Does Mr. Chukwu not understand the havoc those involved in the wicked act are causing society and Nigeria in general? He questioned.
According to the EYA president, the spike and spate of ritual killings and human organ harvesting are a result of the rising number of youths’ involvement in the dastard act on daily basis, due to the various agents of socialization like the family which is the primary place of making first contact, and the school, which is the greatest place of socialization, the mass media and religious organization, et al, has failed the youthful generation but for the church. Society has Devalued our family and religious values.
The high moral deficit and decay, have fueled all these vices in our society. Their activities even are beginning to overwhelm our security agencies, and If curses and prayers by a man called by God will help in ameliorating the yahoo menes, why is it worrying some people? Is it that, the yahoo boys are the one footing their bills? Evil is evil no matter who supports it because no one called by God will condemn a pastor for condemning evil.
The testimony of the young girl that was involved in yahoo and wanted to take it international, whose travel documents were all ready but confessed and said she will no longer involve herself in such vices and came out to give her life to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after hearing the message, prayer and curses against it, is a testament of Pastor Ibiyeomei’s Global impact on humanity.
Pastor David Ibiyeomei is one of the finest preachers in the world and the Body of Christ not just in Nigeria but globally is most humbly proud of him and his results in the kingdom of God, and he is fulfilling Matthew 12:18 which says “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, whom I love, and in whom I delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will announce justice to the nations, Warmate said. Warmate advised Mr. Chukwu to read 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye, not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? This is because his statement is just an expression and an outburst of bitterness and jealousy against a globally acknowledge clergyman.
Since Pastor David Ibiyeomei has cursed yahoo boys, Mr. Kassy Chukwu should curse politicians since that’s his area of interest, another pastor will curse kidnappers, another Boko Haram, another both pen and armed robbers, et al till every evil in Nigeria is cursed and destroyed.
We commend and pray for Pastor David Ibiyeomei and his ministry that God will grant him wisdom and courage to continue to preach the true and undiluted message of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, not minding the distraction from the kingdom of darkness. I appeal to Pastor Ibiyeomei and his ministry to support in whatever way it can, the young lady that repented with whatever she can use to stand on her feet, Warmate concluded.
