A pragmatic pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL), has hailed the Minority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley O. Chinda, visit to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
In a statement signed and sent to CitizenNews24 by the deputy director of Media and Communication Comrade Khadijat A. Tajudeen, the group said, Chinda has justified the confidence repose on him by the group, by leading a delegation of minority lawmakers to the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, describing the visit as a step in the right direction and in tandem with the Damagum plan.
Comrade Tajudeen noted that the group supported Hon. Chinda for the Minority Leader position because they believe in his capacity and know he will not disappoint. She commended his effort towards promoting peace and unity in the party.
She, however, urge him to replicate the same action by visiting the flag boy of PDP the Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun, and the immediate past governor of Rivers State His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom E. Wike, preached the Damagun plan or mantra of “Let bygones be bygones” with the aim of rescuing and recovering the party first.
Comrade Tajudeen also in response to a statement of
a member of the Kano State House of Assembly from 2011-2023, Yusuf Babangida Sulaiman that, PDP is Jittery Of Ganduje Emergence As APC National Chairman, said, it’s the other way round.
She claims that rather it’s the APC that’s jittery over the National Chairman of PDP Amb. Umar I. Damagun because, under his watch PDP defeated APC in the February 25, 2023, presidential election in his home state of Yobe, and also that, he is a calm political strategist par excellence, a diplomatic expert, a conflict resolution specialist and promoter of internal democracy which is the bedrock of every democracy.
