Convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead in a New York jail where he was being held on sex trafficking charges, it was reported.
The 66-year-old had pleaded not guilty to charges involving dozens of underage girls as young as 14, from at least 2002 to 2005.
Epstein died overnight at a Manhattan jail, ABC News reported, citing three unnamed law enforcement officials.
Last month, he was found injured in his jail cell following a possible suicide attempt.
The financier had complained about the conditions and appealed a federal judge’s decision to keep him locked up on remand while he awaits trial.
