The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Proudly Shared A Picture Of Baby Archie’s Feet Today To Mark The Duchess Of Sussex’s First US Mother’s Day.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first born, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6 at 5.26am.

As the first born son of a duke, Archie could have become Earl of Dumbarton – one of Harry’s subsidiary titles – or have been Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

But the couple chose not to use a courtesy title and the decision fits with Harry and Meghan’s desire to give their son as normal a life as possible despite his royal heritage.

This afternoon, the couple shared a new image of baby Archie, after revealing him to the world on May 8.

The post said: ‘Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. ‘We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.

‘Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe. ‘This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex. ‘Quote from “lands”: my mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived.’

In the image, Meghan can be seen clutching baby Archie’s feet among a bed of flowers.

It is the first image of the baby, who is seventh in line to the throne, to be shared by the couple since he made his world debut at the castle on Wednesday.

The Duchess described her son as having the ‘sweetest temperament’, while a delighted duke called him ‘our own little bundle of joy’.

Meghan added: ‘It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.’
