Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Photo REMOVED From Queen’s Family Portrait Table

A PHOTO of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has mysteriously disappeared from the Queen’s family portrait table at Buckingham Palace.

The framed portrait of the couple was added to the table in Her Majesty’s audience room shortly after their marriage last year – but yesterday it was nowhere to be seen.

As the monarch greeted High Commissioner for Grenada, Kisha Alexander-Grant, the picture was noticeably absent.

A portrait taken of Kate Middleton and Prince William on their engagement, and another of Prince Harry and William remain on display.

The photo of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was last seen in July, when PM Boris Johnson visited the Queen for talks on Brexit.

The photo shows the smartly-dressed pair posing for the camera as the Duchess affectionately rests her hand on her husband’s chest.

It is believed to have been taken during their engagement shoot.

It’s not known why the image was removed, but it’s likely royal aides move treasured family portraits around the grand home.

Fabulous Digital has contacted Buckingham Palace for a comment.

It comes after the couple have faced a fallout since their explosive ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey aired on Sunday.

A source close to the couple told CNN the couple, who spoke about their struggles with fame in the show, said: “The institution around the British royal family is full of people afraid of and inexperienced at how to best help harness and deploy the value of the royal couple who have single-handedly modernised the monarchy.”

But the claims have now sparked a war among well-placed aides in the Palace – with one saying the “plain wrong” comments simply highlight the level of “paranoia” among Team Sussex.

They also said it is actually the Queen who is responsible for modernising the royal family – although “no one has ownership of it”, Daily Mail reports.

This is not the first time that this particular photograph has gone walkabout, with the Queen having previously spotted that it was removed in June last year.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the previously unseen snap of the newlyweds on a table at Buckingham Palace when Her Majesty met George Brandis, Australian High Commissioner to the UK, in May 2018.

But a week later as composer Thea Musgrave was presented the Queen’s Medal for Music, royal fans noticed that the frame had been removed – leaving a snap of Harry and brother Prince William to take centre stage.

The Audience Room is where the Her Majesty keeps some of her most prized possessions and is situated on the palace’s first floor.

At Buckingham Palace, audiences are either held in The Queen’s Audience Room or in the 1844 Room.

The Queen gives a weekly audience to the Prime Minister.

The Queen also chairs Privy Council meetings, which are held regularly throughout the year, usually around once a month.
