The Senate has refused to confirm the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision.
Rising from a two hours closed door session, Senate President Bukola Saraki announced that the Senate rejected the nomination of Magu based on security reports.
Other nominees of the EFCC sent in by the president were referred for further screening.
The Senate said it would communicate its rejection of Magu to the President.
Magu who was at the Senate premises left after the senate took the decision.
