BREAKING: Former PANDEF Spokesman, Anabs Sara-Igbe Denounces Killing Of #SARS Protesters

His Highness Anabs Sara-Igbe, the former Spokesman of The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and Coordinator of South-South Elders Forum, has denounced the killing of innocent Nigerians who were protesting against Police ruthlessness, blackmail, corruption, and criminality in Nigeria.

His Highness Anabs Sara-Igbe said, “I stand with the Nigerian Youths and indeed all those who are calling for an end to SARS in whatever form and disguise, and justice for all the victims of Police brutality, Kidnapping & extortion in Nigeria and a call on government for the reformation of the Nigerian Police”.

The former Pandef spokesman appealed to the “International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Jide Sanwoolu, the Commander of the Nigerian Army in Lagos, the Chief of Nigerian Army Staff, and President Mohammadu Buhari, Commander- in- Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, accountable for the killing innocent citizens at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos, on the 20th October 2020, for exercising constitutional of protest against nefarious activities of SARS.

His Highness emphasized that the “actions of the government are contrary to the African Charter and the United Nations Charter on Human Rights. It’s indeed genocide and a sin against humanity. This will be one of the test cases for the International Criminal Court (ICC)”.

The Niger Delta activist also called on ECOWAS, the African Union (AU), the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, and the United Nations to quickly intervene before it degenerates into intractable religion, ethnic and regional conflicts.

His Highness Anabs Sara-Igbe challenged the Olumide Akpata- led Nigerian Bar Association to press for a case of genocide and human rights abuse in the International Criminal Court.
