BREAKING: Angry PDP Group Mobilises Against Atiku, Threatens To Drag Ayu To EFCC Over Billions Of Party Fund

In keeping with its promise, the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL) has started to mobilize against its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and said, voting for Atiku will be Nigerians’ biggest mistake, and that a vote for him is a vote for people that can’t keep to their words and promises. In fact, it’s the end of the road to the Atiku Presidency.

Recall the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL), is a prominent proponent of the Ayu Must Go group and in several press conferences, interviews and releases have made its position known and has promised to campaign against the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria if, Ayu fails or refuses to resign as the national chairman of PDP, and the south producing the national chairman.

Also if you can recall, on the 8 of August 2022, standing on the strength of the freedom of information act, CPDPL sent a letter demanding the detail of the income and expenditure of the party. But rather than releasing the information they asked for, the national chairman hurriedly engaged external auditors to audit the account of the party and gave office space in the national chairman’s office to them.

The group spoke through its director of Media and Advocacy, Comrade Rashidat Abubakar, who said, “we are not like some of the present crops of leaders in our great party who don’t keep to their words and who think they can fool all of the people all of the times.

“The defenders of the indefensible narrative that, in 2007 Col. Ahmadu Ali and Late former president Umar Musa Yar’ Adua GCFR of blessed memory were both northerners but forget that the seating president then Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR is from the south. And when Former president Umar M. Yar’ Adua GCFR of blessed memory took over power, the national chairman position was zoned to the South East and Chief Vincent Ogbulafor emerged.

While in 2010 the death of former president Umar Musa Yar’ Adu GCFR of blessed memory led to the emergence of former president Goodluck E. Jonathan CFR, GCFR as the president and the national chairman from the south, Chief Nwodo, gave way to the emergence of Alhaji Haliru Mohammed Bello as the acting national chairman. So the promoters of the fallacious narrative distorted some facts just to suit their selfish interest, she said.”

Also on the financial scandal rocking the party, Abubakar said, “according to a source over N10 billion was generated and another source said it was over N12 billion generated from the sales of nomination forms. How the money was depleted to N1 billion within the space of just three months is the strangest and 8th wonder of the world that must be unraveled in PDP. And the N1 billion given to the party before the Presidential primaries and the fact that the money is not found in the party’s account, and some NWC members and stakeholders were just hearing it for the first time when it was reported by the Nation newspaper and disclosure by Gov. Wike, calls for investigation and reemphasize why the national chairman must go and all those involved in the PDP gate.

It was alleged that they hurriedly increased the salaries of staff and paid the one year of the housing allowance owed them and also paid millions into the account of national working committee (NWC) members which some of them have already returned and sees as an attempt to bribe them, she said.”

“So if the N28,800,000 And N36,000,000 are not for bribes then what is it for? Although, the party has debunked the bribery allegation against the National Chairman via a very watery statement that did not give a detailed breakdown of what the money was meant for except for the fact that, it was described as housing allowance without even stating the years it covers, by the National Publicity secretary.

Let’s even assume but not conceding that, the money was truly for housing allowance, giving NWC members a whooping sum of N14, 400,000 and N18, 000, 000, as house rent per year, as it has been claimed in some quarters that, the house allowance is for two years rent, is it not an attempt in itself to bribe them?

The question is, should that be our priority now when we have a very costly and competitive general election in less than five months?
We have a twelve-story building to complete and have not even started a campaign and over N10 billion can not be accounted for under Ayu’s watch and you are saying we should keep quiet, no? The Ayu gate or housing allowance or loot or Ayu microfinance as been described in different quarters has placed moral and political poser on Ayu and our great.
Atiku and Ayu have around them a political and moral plague that gives Nigerians the impression that they are very much incapable of rescuing Nigeria, and as for Atiku, he has used his own hand to truncate his presidential ambition for supporting Ayu’s cheating of the south.

Charity begins at home they say, so if Atiku and Ayu after three months plus could not rescue and unite PDP, is it Nigeria that they can rescue or unite? Nigerians need to think, she said.

As the chairman of the PDP presidential campaign council said and governor of Akwa Ibom state, Chief Udom Emmanuel rightly said, PDP leaders are not working on their talk that’s the reason for the crisis in the party.

“We are working on getting all the needed evidence complete after which we will petition the EFCC to invite the national chairman, treasurer, financial secretary, National Secretary, and any other person that needs to honour their invitation. We will definitely ask for accountability for millions of our suffering members through the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) if need be, comrade Abubakar said.

However, Abubakar said, the group will be meeting next week to decide which presidential candidate they will consult for in the 2023 election and other issues as they affect the PDP.

She declared  Gov. Nyesom N. Wike, Samuel Ortom, Seyi Makinde, Ukeazea Okpeazu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Governors Olusegun Mimiko, Ayo Fayose, Donald Duke, Ibrahim Dakwambo, and Jonah Jang, and a former Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke.

Others are a former Information Minister, Jerry Gana, Former deputy chairman of PDP, Chief Olabode George, and South-south Chairman of the PDP, Dan Orbih, among others as the hero of justice in the party and men that keep to their words for not attending the presidential inauguration.

If PDP loses the 2023 presidential election, no one else should be blamed except Ayu and Atiku, Comrade Rashidat Abubakar Director, Media & Advocacy of the Concerned PDP League (CPDP), concluded.
