A political group, the Concerned PDP League, has lauded His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom E. Wike CON, POS Africa, for yielding to the group’s demand by choosing his successor from the Riverine.
In a statement, the group via its vocal national leader, Comrade Daboikiabo Z. Warmate, said that governor Wike’s choice of a Riverine candidate reflects responsiveness to the yearnings of PDP members, the Riverine people, and the entire Rivers people.
The politician cum PDP activist also said governor Wike’s decision and action has to douse fears about the Riverine not producing the governor of the state in 2023 and has created political balance. Comrade Warmate with many feathers on his cap further applauded Governor Wike for his bravery and commendable outing in the just concluded PDP Presidential Primary.
The statement reads:
I on behalf of the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL), commend His Excellency Barr., Nyesom E. Wike CON, POS Africa, for taking this laudable step by yielding to our demand for a Riverine governor for Rivers people, come 2023.
It’s a testament to gov. Wike’s political awareness and sensitivity to the political history of Rivers state and the yearnings of the Riverine people of the state. I assure His Excellency of our commitment and support forAmaopthe Usenibo Siminialayi Fubara, campaign for the 2023 general election as the bearer of our great party’s flag.
I most sincerely congratulate Amaopthe Usenibo Siminialayi Fubara, popularly called (SIM) for emerging as the gubernatorial flag bearer of our great party and urge him to carry every party patriots along in our drive to win the 2023 governorship election in the Rivers state, knowing fully well that, the battle just commence.
I also commend all the gubernatorial aspirants and political gladiators that still keep faith with the party despite losing out in the primary for their sportsmanship, most especially all the Riverine aspirants and even those from the upland.
May I also use this medium to appeal to the good people of the Riverine area to seize this opportunity to mobilize for one of our own, the PDP Governorship candidate, despite our political differences with the aspirant that have emerged.
Meanwhile, I would also like to advise the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, to focus and channel his energy on his calling and soul-winning, for it’s the only thing that will bring joy in heaven, rather than all is political prediction. Everything in this life must have God’s approval before manifesting, that we know.
I pray for our great party victory as I thank his excellency once again for considering our demand for a Riverine candidate. I will also not forget to commend governor Wike for his bravery and commendable outing in the just concluded PDP presidential primary.
