The CPDPL congratulatory message was contained in a press statement personally signed by the National Leader, Comrade Daboikiabo Z. Warmate, and the National Secretary, Alhaji Tasiu M. Muhammad.

The Concerned Peoples Democratic League (CPDPL) also commended the Sen. David A. B. Mark-led Convention Planning Committee for conducting a transparent, free and fair presidential primary. The group thanked all the presidential aspirants that lost for accepting defeat, and most especially His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom E. Wike CON POS, Africa, Governor of Rivers State.

The group used the opportunity to call on Alhaji Atiku to advise the National Chairman and some National Officers to resign over their disappointing performances, failure to do so, may force the group not to campaign for the party and will call on their member’s in the length and breadth of the four geopolitical zones of the nation not to campaign for the party.

The Concerned PDP League must sincerely Congratulates His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON on his victorious outing at the PDP 2022 Special Convention to emerge as the presidential candidate/flag bearer of our great party for the second time to represent PDP at the ballot in the 2023 presidential general election.

We assure His Excellency of our commitment and support for his campaign for the 2023 general election as the bearer of our great party’s flag.

It’s also pertinent for us to urge and advise His Excellency to be magnanimous and accommodating in victory genuinely. This will go a long way in uniting the party for victory come 2023.

We advise his excellency to be very careful of who he picks as his vice president, that what is needed now is a vice presidential candidate whose political relevance and energy can contribute to the party’s victory at the 2023 polls.

We commend the Sen. David A. B. Mark led Convention planning committee for conducting a presidential primary adjudge by many as transparent, free, and fair, and also commend all the presidential aspirants that lost for accepting defeat and congratulating the winner, that they are the true heroes of the 2022 special convention, for their sportsmanship, most especially his excellency, Barr. Nyesom E. Wike CON POS, Africa, governor of Rivers state. We are proud of them all.

However, we call on His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to advise the National Chairman to honourable resign and not to allow himself to be forced out of office, as his continued stay in office is a desecration of the party constitution as amended in 2017 and offensive to the sensibility of PDP members from the southern region of Nigeria.

Also the national secretary and national Organizing Secretary that has given us reasons to doubt their competence, impartiality, etc to continue holding their office. Only if those black and failed national officers resign, we will keep to our commitment to aggressively campaign for the party.
It will be a political miscalculation and poor strategy for the national chairman and board of trustees chairman to still remain in the north as both are from the same north central (Benue & Nasarawa states), and also the NC, NS, and NOS whose six months failed records in office, appears to be a bad omen for the party’s electoral success in 2023.

We deeply appreciate all the party faithful, our group members across the country who stood by the party throughout this period, most especially our presidential flag bearer, our presidential aspirants that took the outcome in good faith, and the entire convention planning committee as unarguably ably led by His Excellency, Most Distinguish Sen. David A. B. Mark.
We pray for victory for the party at all levels most especially those that emerge via an unmanipulated process.

We call on all party patriots to join us without any further delay to commence the person-to-person campaign for the party.

Signed By:

National Leader, Comrade Daboikiabo Z. Warmate, and the National Secretary, Alhaji Tasiu M. Muhammad.
