Our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party is sailing on a rough high sea approaching icebergs, under Dr. Ayu’s selfish navigation.
And as the docile main opposition party, it is crystal clear that Dr. Ayu’s inept navigational skills are unlikely to surmount the internal political turbulence and forged a unified front for what would be a brutal political campaign for the 2023 general election.
Nevertheless, the Leader of the Concerned PDP League (CPDPL), comrade D. Z. Warmate, has commended the efforts of the party to bring the warring factions of Atiku Abubakar (Presidential Candidate) and Governor Nyesom Wike together for a trace meeting.
Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been enmeshed in internal wranglings occasioned by the outcome and comments made by the National Chairman after the party Presidential primary election, and the process leading to the selection of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the party.
Comrade Warmate however pleads with both parties to make sacrifices for the sake of the party and country as well as the unbearable hardship and insecurity Nigerians are enduring with great reluctance.
Comrade Warmate said, “may I humbly urge the Atiku and Wike camps for the sake of the foreseeable future sufferings the APC will put Nigerians and Nigeria through in another eight years, to prune down their egos and shrink their interests, so as to prevent President Buhari’s incarnate, Bola Tinubu, from unleashing the worst Religion, Insecurity and Economic Armageddon on Nigerians”.
Further, comrade Warmate also ” commended the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman, Senator Walid Jibril and Senator David Mark for their efforts and contributions towards finding a lasting solution to the feud between Atiku and Wike, allegedly caused and fueled by the National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.”
Although there has been mounting pressure on Dr. Ayu to resign in line with an alleged agreement he entered into prior to his emergence as Chairman, to step down if the Presidential candidate emerges from the North, as for Comrade Warmate, Dr. Ayu’s resignation is non-negotiable and must be a key condition for peace and progress in the party.
We are hoping for an equitable and fair outcome of the meeting.
